The market for online poker in Switzerland is enormous and could accommodate additional players and offers, as the country's regulation allows for shared liquidity and taxation. Several applications for licences to operate skill gaming sites are currently pending with the Gespa. The regulator has already published its first guidelines for such applications, signaling its willingness to process these in a timely manner. The first online poker site in Switzerland to be licensed is the Swiss website ipoker.com. As of November 23, the Poker Room in Switzerland has gone live without fanfare. The launch of this new site marks an historic moment for Swiss poker players, ending an 18-month-long blackout on online poker in the country. The poker room's success can be traced in part to Linus Liedermann, who is one of the best cash game players online. However, as with all countries, the legal climate is complicated in Switzerland and there are some hurdles players in the country must overcome in order to access it. Before playing online poker in Switzerland, make sure that the website uses secure payment methods. Aside from credit cards and debit cards, online poker sites must also offer alternative payment methods, such as Neteller, Skrill, and PaySafeCard. It is best to consult online poker reviews for more details. Finally, remember that Swiss francs are the official currency of online gambling sites in Switzerland, so you won't have to deal with conversion fees. The government of Switzerland is currently working on the legalization of online gambling in order to increase tax revenues. However, they don't fully understand how online poker works, and are working to regulate it properly. Therefore, Swiss players can already enjoy online gambling on licensed websites. Aside from Swiss online poker websites, they can play at many online casinos. In the future, the government will also consider legalizing online gambling in Switzerland. It's only a matter of time before the Swiss online gambling laws will be enacted. Online poker in Switzerland is readily available. The government has largely avoided the issue by allowing online gambling. Its laws have made it impossible for the government to completely ban this activity. The only way to ensure a level playing field is to regulate the internet infrastructure. Switzerland's legal gambling infrastructure will ensure that the online casino industry remains competitive in the market. It's a win-win situation for all. There's no reason to worry about the legality of online poker in Switzerland.
